About Tombstone High School
About Us
At THS, we are dedicated to giving every student a top quality education. Since 1925, Tombstone High has been recognized by the North Central Association-AdvancEd as a continually accredited school. Our faculty, staff, and administration are committed to providing students with challenging and relevant educational experiences that will prepare them for life after high school.
Our Philosophy
We believe the educational process should stimulate curiosity and allow for the individual to experiment and grow both academically and socially. This growth will take place in an environment of trust, respect, and tolerance for others. At THS, we provide every student the opportunity to develop a personal character, which includes a positive self-image, emotional maturity, physical well-being, and social responsibility. We also provide students the opportunity to acquire the basic skills and attitudes necessary for successful participation in our democratic society. Basic skills are identified as self and cooperative management skills as well as the academic areas of reading, mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies.

A Rich History
Welcome to Tombstone High School!
Tombstone High School (THS) began in 1922 when the first part of the high school was constructed on Freemont Street. Originally named Tombstone Union High School and then changed to just Tombstone High School in the late 1940s.
In 2006, Tombstone High moved from the historic downtown campus to our facility on the edge of Tombstone. Our new school is built in a modern style that maximizes functionality and student safety.
Our students continue to make history. Small student-to-teacher ratios, a challenging academic and vocational curriculum, and an outstanding athletics department are some of the advantages of attending THS.
